Crave the Rose. Touch the Thorns. Bandage the Hands. Continue the Work.

Have you had the feeling that you bit off more than you can chew? No? Well I have. Being the ambitious person I am, I am currently trying to swallow everything down. Because of this I have created a plan based on one of my favorite quotes.
"But he who dares not grasp the thorn, should never crave the rose"- Anne Bronte
My conclusion is when we crave the rose and touch it's thorns we must bandage ourselves first and then continue. Of course, I do not mean to literally bandage yourself. I am mean to take a break. To let yourself recover before you dive head first into another battle.  So my plan is to work for the whole week and spend Fridays doing something to relax. No work. No studying. No plans. And this is exactly what I did yesterday.

Still Alive.

But barely. I'm trying to bring up my SAT score, finish my summer assignments, and  practice for my driving test within my summer vacation. So I have my hands full. There are so many outfits I would like to photograph but that has been in the back burner. I'm still trying to find a way to continue my blog while still managing my other activities. It might mean I have to loose a bit of sleep but that won't be a problem because I would love to show you more of  my personal style. As you can see below I started a painting in watercolor! I bought some more art supplies last week and am ready to start painting after I finish my academics activities. It felt so nice to touch a paintbrush again even if its for a color chart.

Out and About.

Last Sunday my friends and I went out and painted ceremics.(We were inspired by wongfuproductions) Well, that was what we intended. In the end only one of us actually bought something to paint. We all helpped her finish painting it though. It was a  tiered teapot amd cup, and my friend had a great idea to paint a Totoro on it. She hasn't picked it up yet, so I have yet to see it.Unlike wongfu, we only stayed there for 3 hours. After we went to dine at a french restaurant inside the mall. It was my first time there, so I had no idea what to order. After persueing the menu I saw the Chicken Salad Sandwich, I saw that it was on a crisssont so I ordered it. (I had been craving for some for a while.) It was delious, but a little messy. I kept dropping the salad, it was very embarrassing. I couldn't finished it, but I forced myself to because I didn't want to waste the food.So I ended up bloated afterwards. We went to the Forever 21, and stayed there for a few more hours. I bought a mint cardigan and a pair of pastel chevron earrings. To be honest the earrings were an impulse buy. I couldn't leave the pastels!

The thing that everyone fears, a creative block

If you don't know, I have been in a creative block lately. It 's partly because of my schoolwork. So I used that as an excused to remodel my room a bit. Just to see if a change in scenery would inspire me somehow. I went to Ikea last weekend and I bought a few things to jazz up my room a bit. I got the very popular egg cup racks, a industrial  garment rack, and a two person desk. Being the fragile looking girl I am, many would think I would "break" if I did something heavy duty. So being the stubborn yet determined person I am, I built everything myself. I am so proud of myself! Although I still would like to do some more things to my room, I will postponed it for now. That is why there will not be a spam of photos below. Well I think my creative block is slowly disappearing because I did get a few sketches done yesterday. Hopefully my block will go away soon because I really miss doing the thing I love. I also created a inspiration blog to help my creativity. If you would like to check it out it is right here.
